An Obligation to Future Generations

Donna has a mixed media piece called An Obligation to Future Generations in a show opening April 8 at Coastline Art Gallery. It is always a fun show. It is an open call. If the piece fits in the IKEA frame (RIBBA with the specific size of 27.5 x 19.75 inches), it will be accepted in the show.

The Skinner Family Park Bench … in Huntington Beach, CA

For Frank’s birthday in October, I donated a park bench to the City of Huntington Beach which was placed in Fahrquar Park (close to our home). Although I had planned on using one of his favorite sayings for the plaque (like “The fun train is leaving!”), he said that he preferred that it say “The Skinner Family – Frank, Donna, Emma and Sophie.” (The dogs, present and past, are included because they are the ones that have joined us as we walk through our neighborhood and city parks.)

Donna with Model

Donna’s model, Mira Dujanovic, posed with her at the OC Visual Arts Competition where her portrait, American Woman, won a 2nd place ribbon in the Mixed Media Division.
